The business problem
Customers expect to book online, but coordinating times over the phone or by email costs staff time and leads to double-bookings and missed messages.
How KookaCRM solves it
KookaCRM's online booking page lets customers choose a service and a time, then submits the request as an intake record. Depending on how a tenant has configured pricing and payments, the booking may proceed straight to scheduling, or an upfront amount may be collected through the business's invoice or checkout flow before the booking is confirmed.
When to use this
- You offer callout or appointment-based services with reasonably predictable timing
- You want to reduce back-and-forth phone calls to schedule work
- You want the option to collect a deposit or upfront amount at booking time
Suitable business types
- Trades taking callout jobs with an included time allowance
- Salons and appointment-based businesses with fixed-length services
- Cleaning and lawn care businesses booking recurring or one-off visits
How it works
A customer selects a service and preferred time on the booking page, then
The booking is captured as an intake submission, then
Where a tenant has configured upfront payment, the customer is directed to pay via the linked invoice or checkout flow, then
Staff review and confirm the booking, which can then be scheduled as a job
What KookaCRM creates
- Intake submission
- Booking
How it connects with other features
- Callout-priced bookings flow into Callout and Hourly Services for pricing
- Fixed-length bookings flow into Fixed-Price Appointments
- Upfront payment, where configured, is collected through the invoice or checkout flow connected to Stripe Connect
- Confirmed bookings can be scheduled and dispatched using Jobs and Field Dispatch
Example use cases
- A customer books a callout appointment for a leaking tap and pays a deposit online before the visit
- A salon customer books a fixed-length service and receives confirmation without calling
Setup requirements
- Enable the services and time slots you want customers to be able to book
- Decide whether upfront payment applies to a service, and configure it accordingly
- Connect Stripe Connect if you want to take online payments as part of the booking flow
Availability
Online booking itself is available by default. Whether a booking requires upfront payment at the time of submission depends entirely on how a tenant has configured that service — it is not automatic.
